Chocolate crispy cake recipe!
If your kids are full of beans this easter holidays then here’s an idea to keep those little hands busy. Head to the kitchen and make some yummy easter cakes to pack for a picnic. Here’s a super simple recipe!
Ingredients:
- 110g (4oz) at least 70% cocoa dark chocolate
- 50g (2oz) unsalted butter
- 50g (2oz) Golden Syrup
- 75g (3oz) Rice Crispies
- 1 pack of mini easter eggs
Method:
1: Mix chocolate, butter and syrup in a heatproof bowl and place in a pan of boiling water. Stirring occasionally, simmer for 5-8 minutes, or until the mixture is completely melted and a smooth consistency.
2: Take the bowl out of the pan and mix in the rice crispies until they are all covered in the chocolate mixture.
3: Spoon out the mixture into cake cases and decorate with mini easter eggs.
4: Place in the fridge to set, ready to enjoy eating after about an hour!
