1: Old Harry Rocks

If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a picnic with a view, then Old Harry Rocks in Dorset will not disappoint. With easy paths, ample parking and stunning views of Studland, no wonder it rates 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor!

The carpark is near the beginning of a 20-30 minute trail that takes you through woodland, then opens up to cliff top views where you can walk atop Old Harry Rocks. Lay down one of our XL picnic blankets to catch your breath and enjoy watching the waves lapping the side of the rocks.

2: Pentire Point, Cornwall – Walk up an appetite.

If you’re wanting to work up an appetite for your picnic, then the 3.4 mile circular Pentire Headland Walk takes you from the Pentireglaze car park to the Rumps. Don’t forget to take a flask of hot chocolate with you. You can rest your legs when you get to the Rumps and take in the rocky views of the Cornish coastland whilst enjoying a nice warm drink and slice of cake to keep up your energy!

3: Greenwich Park, London

The perfect picnic spot for relaxing in the sun on a hot day, Greenwich Park scores 4.5* on trip advisor, and is described as a ‘great place for picnics and leisurely walks in the summer’.

4: Pistyll Rhaeadr, Wales – Wonderful Waterfall

Wales is home to England and Wales highest waterfall, Pistyll Rhaeadr and is a breath taking setting for a family picnic. Rated 4* on trip advisor, there are ‘Great picnic spots at the top of the waterfall or by the stream at the bottom’. There is a free carpark by the river just 250 yards before you reach Pistyll Rhaeadr. This is an ideal location for a more adventurous picnic spot.
